ScoutBridge (“we”, “us”, “our”) protects personal information you provide as a user of scoutbridge.net and related apps in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data-protection laws. We do not collect, disclose, or process personal data unless you provide it voluntarily, give consent, or processing is required or allowed by law.
1. Controller and contact
The data controller for ScoutBridge is the ScoutBridge operating entity reachable at legal@scoutbridge.net. For privacy requests (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection), email legal@scoutbridge.net. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use ScoutBridge, we may process:
- Account and profile data (name, email, role, club/agency details, photos, career and media you upload).
- Identity-verification (KYC) documents and related status where required by our services.
- Billing and subscription metadata (plan, status, invoices references) needed to deliver paid features.
- Technical logs (device/browser type, approximate timestamps, security events) to operate and secure the service.
- Communications you send to support or legal contacts.
3. Google Sign-In
If you sign in or register with Google Sign-In, we receive your Google account email, display name, profile photo URL, and a unique Google subject identifier. We use this only to authenticate your account and display your name and photo in the app. Google Sign-In does not replace KYC where required. We request only the openid, email, and profile OAuth scopes and do not use Google user data for advertising or sale to third parties.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the site (for example session/auth cookies, security, load balancing, and remembering locale or UI preferences). Where we use analytics or optional cookies, we do so only as allowed by law and, where required, with your consent. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login or core features from working.
We do not sell personal data. Third-party embeds (for example payment widgets or video players) may set their own cookies subject to those providers’ policies.
5. Payment providers
Paid subscriptions and add-ons are processed by our payment providers. Depending on your location and product, this may include Stripe and/or Startbutton (and any successor or related processors we disclose at checkout).
When you pay, the provider processes card or local payment details on their systems under their own privacy terms. ScoutBridge receives confirmation of payment status, customer/subscription identifiers, and limited billing metadata needed for access control, invoicing support, and fraud prevention. We do not store full card numbers on ScoutBridge servers.
Provider privacy information is available from Stripe and Startbutton on their respective websites. Choosing a paid plan constitutes consent to share the billing data required to complete the transaction with the selected provider.
6. Geo-IP and location-derived data
To show appropriate pricing, currency, and available payment providers, and to help prevent abuse, we may derive an approximate country code from edge/CDN geo-IP headers supplied by our hosting or CDN (for example Cloudflare, Vercel, or CloudFront country headers). This is based on your IP address at the network edge; it is not precise GPS location and is not used to track you across unrelated sites.
Where your profile or billing address includes a country, we may prefer that over geo-IP for pricing once your account is established. You can contact us if you believe the detected country is wrong for billing purposes.
7. Purposes and legal bases
We process data to provide and improve the ScoutBridge platform, authenticate users, fulfil contracts (including paid plans), comply with law, protect security, and—where applicable—with your consent (for example optional cookies or marketing). Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights.
8. Retention and security
We retain account and related records for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business, legal, and security purposes—typically up to ten (10) years for certain records unless a shorter period applies or you successfully request erasure where legally required. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures and require processors that handle data on our behalf to meet comparable standards.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure or blocking, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to certain processing. Contact legal@scoutbridge.net. Identity verification may be required before we fulfil a request.
10. International transfers
ScoutBridge and its processors may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EEA/UK/Switzerland.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of ScoutBridge after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy, except where consent is legally required for a new processing activity.
